The world's top plastics fair, K 2004 in Düsseldorf, Germany, will be home to Maillefer from October 20 - 27, 2004. The equipment to be displayed on stand 12 C06 includes PEX methods for heating & plumbing pipe, extrusion innovations and fully automatic coiling systems.

Visitors will discover PEX crosslinking solutions for the manufacturing of heating & plumbing. An innovative system for in-line curing using infrared ovens will be unveiled. The new technique provides huge savings by entirely eliminating the process step of hot baths or saunas. The product offering is made complete with an aluminum forming and welding station for manufacturing composite heating pipe.

A newly designed MEH extruder will shine under the spotlights. The machine boasts high output while respecting the Maillefer tradition of homogeneous extrusion and linear stability. Close by a triple-layer extrusion head will be mounted for display. The versatile indexing offers multiple layer combinations without reconfiguring the extrusion group.

The innovations continue with fully automatic dual coilers for flexible and semi-rigid tubes and pipes. An MWB 1300 will be operational at the show. An automated quick setup for changing coil sizes will be demonstrated, as well as the familiar features for high speed tube-to-tube coiling and automatic coil strapping.

Progress is recognizable throughout the available line configurations. The modern manufacturing solutions cover medical tube, multi-layer automotive tube, dripper irrigation pipe, blown fiber microduct, cable ducts and pipes for gas and water.
